A new leak for the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X has revealed some interesting information regarding the next generation high end CPU. The Zen 3 based processor is a 12 core processor and will apparently arrive with major performance upgrades over the previous gen’s 3900X.

The leak was first shared on Twitter, with the tweet arriving with a CPU-Z screenshot of a 12 core CPU. This image also revealed the single and multi threaded tests of the processors that received some impressive scores. According to a TechRadar report, Team Red’s Ryzen 9 5900X scored 653 points in single threaded tests and 9,482 in the multi threaded tests. This marks a notable gain of 15 to 25 percent in comparison to the Ryzen 9 3900X, which is the current gen’s high end 12 core CPU.

Unfortunately, no further details were revealed in the post and the finer details regarding the upcoming AMD CPU are also unknown. The screenshot of the tests didn’t reveal the clock speeds of the chip either, so we have very little information to go on here. But if this is valid, then we can observe a noticeable gain in performance with new Zen 3 architecture.
