Earlier this month, Microsoft unveiled an updated Surface Pro X with SQ2 chipset, 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. This 2-in-1 has now launched in India just after two weeks from its initial announcement. It will be available in three colors and can be purchased from authorised resellers across the country.

The new updated Microsoft Surface Pro X differs from the original model in terms of chipset, RAM, storage, and colors. Apart from these changes, it is through and through the original Surface Pro X that launched last year. Therefore, the company continues to sell the older models as base variants.

The latest Surface Pro X is powered by SQ2 chipset with Adreno 690 GPU. This chip has been developed in partnership with Qualcomm. It is based on Snapdragon 8cx Gen2, however, without the 5G modem. Also unlike the original Surface Pro X, the new model comes with 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB/512GB M.2 2230 SSD. It can be bought in either Platinum, Ice Blue, or Poppy Red color option.

Other features of the device include a 13-inch PixelSense display (2880 x 1920 pixels) with 3:2 aspect ratio, 10MP rear camera, 5MP front camera with support for Windows Hello, 2 x USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, nano-SIM/eSIM card slots for 4G connectivity via Snapdragon X24 LTE modem, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, Surface Connect port for charging, and pogo-pin connector for the Signature Keyboard accessory.

As for pricing, the updated Microsoft Surface Pro X costs ₹1,49,999  ($2,047) and ₹1,78,999 ($2,443) for 256GB and 512GB respectively in India.
