Xiaomi launched the Mi Air 2 Pro Truly Wireless(TWS) earbuds yesterday. It is currently available only in China. However, if you are someone who is living in other parts of the globe, you can get your early hands on the new TWS via our GIZTOP website for just $129.
Xiaomi’s new Mi Air 2 Pro takes a slight departure from the predecessor, the Mi Air 2. It has a design similar to the Apple’s AirPods Pro and has an angled earpiece with silicone ear tips and a cylindrical stem. It comes in a single black color variant. The material is ABS(Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) which is a hard plastic. It weighs in at 6.5g each and 60grams along with a charging case that has a similar design to the Air 2.

The Mi Air 2 Pro has upgraded specifications like the ANC compared to predecessor. First, each of the earbuds has a 12mm coil with an LCP composite diaphragm. In addition to the liquid crystal dynamic coil, it has grammy master tuning for studio-quality sound. The earbuds also support aptX adaptive, LHDC V3 audio codecs. As per the company, the audio latency is as low as 100ms.
The highlight of the earbuds is the Active Noise Cancellation(ANC). Xiaomi says the earbuds can block outside noise up to 35dB. Additionally, it has Hybrid noise reduction as well. It also has 3 mics for better call quality. In terms of battery life, the Air 2 Pro has a claimed 28hrs of playback along with the charging case. Xiaomi says the individual earbuds last about 7hrs if ANC is turned OFF. The earbuds supports fast charging via Type-C port and Qi wireless charging standards.
As for connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.0 and we can expect a coverage of 10 meters distance from the connected device. Further, it has touch controls for media, calls and also supports XiaoAI voice control. You can activate it by double-tapping the left earbud or saying the “XiaoAI” command. It also has an AUTO CONNECT feature wherein earbuds automatically connects to MIUI devices when the cover is opened. The phone will then connect to it before displaying the status of the battery.
