Infinix has introduced the Infinix Note 8 and Note 8i smartphones in Kenya. The pricing of both phones is yet to be confirmed. However, the Note 8 is expected to cost around $200. Both phones come with tall aspect ratio displays, a gaming-focused chipset, up to 64-megapixel quad cameras, and a huge battery with fast charging support.

The Infinix Note 8 has a massive 6.95-inch IPS LCD screen with a punch-hole design. The 20.5:9 aspect ratio display delivers 720 x 1640 pixels resolution and 480nits of peak brightness. The Helio G80 chipset by MediaTek powers the Note 8 along with 6 GB of RAM. For storage, the phone offers 128 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.

The phone comes preinstalled with Android 10 OS and the latest edition of XOS 7.1. The pill-shaped cutout on the phone’s display has a 16-megapixel main selfie camera and a depth sensor. The backside of the device has a quad-LED flash assisted quad-camera system that includes a 64-megapixel main camera with autofocus support, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and an AI lens.

The Infinix Note 8 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Its 5,200mAh battery supports 18W charging through USB-C. The Note 8 has other features like dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Deepsea Luster, Iceland Fantasy, Silver Diamond are the color variants of the smartphone.

The Infinix Note 8i has a 6.78-inch HD+ IPS LCD punch-hole screen. It has a front camera of 8-megapixel and it has a 48-megapixel main camera in its quad-camera setup. The rest of the specs of the Note 8i are identical to the Note 8. Ice Diamond, Obsidian Black, and Tranquil Blue are the color variants of the Note 8i.
