About this same time last year, renowned drone maker DJI launched the Mavic Mini, a portable and affordable drone. The product arrived with a price tag of $399 for the standard version which includes the Mavic Mini, a remote controller, one battery, extra propellers and all necessary tools and wires. DJI may soon update the portable aerial drone with the Mavic Mini 2.DJI Mavic Mini

The Mavic Mini 2 has reportedly been listed on the website of U.S-based camera, electronics, and film equipment retailer Adorama. The page even revealed the likely retail price, suggesting the Mavic Mini 2 stand-alone is $449 while the Fly More Combo will retail for $599. This represents an increase of 12% over the previous-gen Mavic Mini which retail for $399 and $499.

We can’t adduce a better reason for the price increase rather than a possible upgrade in the specifications. Talking of the specs, the Mavic Mini 2 will feature support for 4K video recording.DJI Mavic Mini 2

There are also reports that the Mavic Mini 2 camera will be upgraded from 2.7K/30P to support 4K/30P video shooting. At the same time, the old micro-USB interface on the body and remote control has finally been changed to USB-C interfaces.

However, the core CMOS of the Mavic Mini 2 is still 12 megapixels with 1/2.3 inches, the same as the previous generation. The DJI Mavic Mini packs high-grade motors that deliver up to 30 minutes of flight time. We expect the Mavic Mini 2 to have an extended flight time.
