A visit by China Security news reveals pre-orders on the Shanghai Official Huawei store are open only for White, Black versions of Mate 40 Pro. However, Mate 40 Pro+ and RS Porsche Design are out of stock.

A similar situation prevails for official/experience stores in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and many others. Also, the models, which can be pre-ordered, don’t have an exact delivery date. And two of Huawei Authorized stores in Beijing have gone to the extent of suspending the reservations of the series.

As per a staff in the Chengdu store, huge supply scarcity is due to very early bookings that go as far as July/August. Looks like Huawei is crushing it with initial sales, and we will have to wait for a bit to know the exact sale numbers.
