It is speculated that the OPPO PEGM00 / PEGT00 phone that was recently approved by the TENAA authority of China could be breaking cover soon as the OPPO Reno5. A new high-end OPPO phone with model number PDSM00 has emerged at Geekbench. It could be the upcoming Reno5 Pro smartphone.

On Geekbench, the OPPO Reno5 is seen with a MediaTek chipset that has a base frequency of 2.0GHz. The SoC is mentioned with its MT6889Z/CVA model number, which confirms that the device is powered by the Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset.

The PDSM00 OPPO phone has 8 GB of RAM and it is preinstalled with the latest Android 11 OS. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the handset has scored 2392 and 586, respectively.

Brands like iQOO, Realme, and Redmi have already launched Dimensity 1000+ powered smartphones. The PDSM000 will be arriving as OPPO’s first phone with the Dimensity 1000+ SoC. This suggests that the PDSM00 may debut as the Reno5 Pro. However, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know its identity.

OPPO Reno5 specifications

The Reno5 is speculated to arrive with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen. The FHD+ display sports a punch-hole design and it is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. Rumors have it that it could be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset. The phone may come to China in RAM variants like 8 GB and 12 GB and it could be available storage choices like 128 GB and 256 GB.

The handset may arrive preinstalled with Android 11 OS. It could be equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and its rear may feature a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system. The phone could be backed by a 4,300mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
