Short-form videos seem to be the in-thing these days. With apps like TikTok gaining huge popularity, other apps have also incorporated a similar feature. The latest to do so is Netflix and it has dubbed its feature Fast Laughs.

Fast Laughs are short videos that are displayed vertically and in full-screen, but unlike TikTok videos that are created by users, these are excerpts from popular shows such as the animated series, Big Mouth, and the popular TV series, Friends.

The interface is similar to that of TikTok, so users who are familiar with the latter should find it easy to use. Swiping vertically will take you to the next video or the previous one. There are also engagement buttons on the right side of the screen.

The aim of Fast Laughs is to help users find new shows they can watch. However, those who have also watched these shows will appreciate a good laugh or scene from a favorite show.

The feature was first in testing earlier this year according to information provided to TechCrunch by Netflix. Now, it has begun rolling it out to a wider audience with an adult profile or a profile without parental control. Sadly, it is still exclusive to iOS users only in the UK, US, and some other regions.
