The OnePlus 9 series is a few months away from launch and the leaks are already starting to build up. A few days ago CAD images gave us a first look at the OnePlus 9, now we have got our hands on case renders that provide an even better look at the upcoming flagship.

OnePlus 9 case

The case in question is a transparent bumper case with reinforced corners that can absorb shocks if and when the phone takes a fall. As seen in the images, the OnePlus 9 will have a hole punch in the top left corner of the screen. The display is flat and it is expected to have a high refresh rate.

The back of the phone is home to a rectangular housing that is home to three rear cameras, one less than the number of cameras the OnePlus 8T has. Two of the cameras, which we believe to be the primary camera and ultrawide angle camera have big sensors while the third camera is much smaller. There is also a round LED flash beside the sensors.

An unconfirmed leak says the OnePlus 9 will have a 48MP ultrawide angle camera along with its 48MP primary camera. The third camera should be a 5MP macro or depth sensor.

The OnePlus 9 will launch with a Snapdragon 875 processor and run OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box. Its AMOLED display is expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate and OnePlus is expected to ship it with support for 65W fast wired charging. As this is the standard model, we do not think it will have support for wireless charging which will be a shame. Nevertheless, we look forward to the launch of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in March.
