The Apple iPhone 12 series launched over a month ago and was the first lineup from the company to feature 5G network support. Although, it seems that certain users are facing a major problem as their new iPhone units are unexpectedly dropping both 5G and LTE services.

According to a 9To5Mac report, iPhone 12 users have been facing this issue especially when they are traveling or driving. At the moment, it is unclear just how widespread the issue is, but a couple of hundred posts have surfaced on online forums. Apparently, users have been claiming that the issue might be with the way the iPhone 12 handles switching between towers. An iPhone 12 user affected by this issue even managed to recreate the issue when traveling. Notably, he did not face the issue of losing service on his older iPhone 11 Pro.

Similarly, many other users have also come forward complaining about the issue. Reportedly, Verizon and AT&T service users are the worst affected by the issue but the issue also extends to T-Mobile users as well. People that are facing this issue have been sharing their grievances on sites like Reddit and other official channels like Apple support, but so far, no fix has been made available.
