Recent reports have spilled a lot of information about the OPPO Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G smartphones. The Chinese manufacturer is also expected to announce the Reno5 Pro+ 5G flagship phones alongside the aforementioned models. OPPO is yet to reveal official details of the Reno5 Pro+ 5G. A fresh leak on Weibo (via) has revealed the rear design of the smartphone and some of its specs.

As it can be seen in the leaked render, the Reno5 Pro+ 5G sports a quad-camera like the other Reno5 models. However, the main difference with the Reno5 Pro+ 5G is that it has a distinctive rectangle-shaped snapper in the camera housing.

It is speculated that the Reno5 Pro+ 5G will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX7xx primary shooter, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, and an unknown third sensor. The rectangle-shaped camera could a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with a 2x optical zoom.

The Reno5 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 765G and the Reno5 Pro 5G has the Dimensity 1000+. The Reno5 Pro+ 5G is rumored to be fuelled by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. There could be a version of the Reno5 Pro+ 5G with a leather rear. It is said to be the first mass-produced smartphone to come with an electrochromic rear. This reminds of the OnePlus Concept One phone with electrochromic technology that was announced in January.

The leak has no information on the other specs of the Reno5 Pro+ 5G The Chinese manufacturer will be announcing the Reno5 series on Dec. 10 in the home market. The Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G is already up for reservations through Chinese retailer sites. Unconfirmed information reveals that the Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G will be priced at 3,299 Yuan (~$505) and 3,899 Yuan (~$597), respectively.
