Google’s Stadia cloud gaming platform was announced last year but the service has been only available in a few countries. Google has now announced that 8 new countries are getting it but they are all in Europe.

The one-year-old streaming service is now rolling out in Austria, Czech Republic Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Switzerland. When the cloud gaming service went live last year, it was available in just 14 countries. These new additions bring the total number of supported countries to 22.

The service will roll out in the next 24 hours in the aforementioned countries and once available, users will be able to sign up with their Gmail account and get ready to play on their computers and compatible phones and tablets. Free

New users get a free one-month subscription to Stadia Pro. The service costs $9.99 and games claimed by the user during the free trial remain theirs as long as they renew their subscription. Google also adds new free games every month. If you want more games or one that is not available for free, you can purchase from the store which has games such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and will also add the much-anticipated game, Cyberpunk 2077.

Stadia works by streaming games over the internet much like the way you stream a show or movie. It supports a range of resolutions based on your internet connection speed. Users can pair a compatible controller to their device of choice including PS4 and Xbox controllers or use a mouse and keyboard.
