AirPods go max!
Apple launched its first pair of premium over-the-ear headphones under the AirPods line. The AirPods Max, as it is called, has an interesting design that makes it stand out from the plethora of headphones in the market. It has noise cancellation, spatial audio, support for Siri, a 20-hour battery life, and isn’t cheap with its $549 price tag.
OPPO’s Reno series enters 5th gen in under 2 years
OPPO announced the Reno5 series last week. It is surprising we are already on the 5th gen considering that the Reno line made its debut last year. The Reno5 and Reno5 Pro have a slightly refreshed design, improved cameras, slightly bigger batteries, and run Android 11 out of the box. A third mode, the Reno5 Pro+ with a Snapdragon 865 processor will launch later this month.
Their watch starts now
Two new smartwatches were announced last week. The Mi Watch Lite arrived first with a striking resemblance to the Redmi Watch but with more sports modes, GPS, and longer battery life. boAt, the Indian company which climbed to the 5th spot on IDC’s list of largest wearable brands in Q3 2020, also announced its latest offering, the Enigma. It supports fewer sports modes than the Mi Watch Lite but has a SpO2 sensor and a cheaper price tag.
Huawei enters the desktop PC business
Huawei announced its first desktop computer, the MateStation B515, last week. The computer is powered by an AMD processor and comes with a 23.8-inch monitor, a mouse, and a keyboard with a built-in fingerprint scanner.
