Samsung is all set to launch its Galaxy S21 series of flagship smartphones in the coming weeks. While the company has not yet confirmed the launch date, it is expected to officially announce them on 14th January.

This time, the company is expected to remove the power adapter from the retail box of the smartphone. The South Korean giant has already stopped including earphones in the box, at least in the United States, since the launch of the Galaxy Note10 lineup.

The company has been rumored to exclude chargers and earphones from the retail box of the upcoming Galaxy S-series flagship but now there’s a strong possibility of that happening given that Samsung has removed social media posts mocking Apple for removing chargers from the iPhone box.

This could be a cost-saving measure from the South Korean giant given that the company is competing against Chinese companies which are selling premium flagship smartphones at much lower pricing compared to that of Samsung and Apple.

Even after Samsung stops including chargers and earphones in the retail box of upcoming smartphones, there’s a possibility that the company may offer an option to the users to request one for free.

Samsung stopped including earphones with the purchase of the Galaxy Note10 series in the United States but those who wanted the earphones could request the company and it sends them out for free. This is likely to be the case for the upcoming premium devices.

However, to know for sure what the company has planned, we will have to wait for the official launch event that is expected in a few weeks. Meanwhile, the company has set an event in the first week of January to showcase its new display technology.
