Xiaomi Malaysia has started teasing the launch of a new Redmi phone. It is heavily speculated that it could be hinting at the arrival of the Redmi 9T smartphone. A Vietnamese tipster Chun has claimed that the Redmi 9T may debut on Jan. 8 in the country. He has claimed that the Chinese firm will launch as many as nine smartphones in the first quarter of 2021.

Currently, Xiaomi is running a contest for the alleged Redmi 9T in Malaysia. The contest is will come to an end on Jan. 7. The tipster has revealed that he has learned through a popular review that the Redmi 9T will be break cover on Jan. 8. He added that the company will release at least 9 phones in the global markets in early 2021.

Some of the Xiaomi phones that are expected to launch in the global markets include Redmi 9T, Xiaomi Mi 11, and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G. Some speculations that are doing rounds on Twitter claim that the Mi 11 Lite 4G could be branded as the POCO F2 in India. Since there is no concrete proof to back this claim, it is advisable to take this information with a pinch of salt.
