It’s been a couple of months since Honor became an independent brand and is no longer a part of Huawei. Since its detachment from the Chinese tech giant, the company has been working towards organizing its supply chain.
A few weeks ago, it was confirmed that Honor is in talks with Qualcomm for chipset supply. Now, as per the latest report coming from China, it seems that both companies are in an agreement where Qualcomm will supply chips for Honor’s upcoming smartphones.

Honor is no longer a part of Huawei and thus the restrictions imposed on the Chinese giant don’t apply to Honor, paving a path for Qualcomm, as well as other vendors such as MediaTek, to supply components to the newly formed entity.
Recently, it was reported that Honor is planning to produce over 100 million smartphones and has already communicated this goal to its suppliers. A big role in this process will be played by the company’s ability to form partnerships with suppliers and efficiently setting up its supply chain and production.
Apart from that, the company is also working on expanding its presence in the market by setting up new stores in China. It is all set to launch Honor Mall, the company’s official online store, next week. If the reports are to be believed, then the company has several new products up its sleeves, including smartphones, such as the Honor V40 series, as well as Honor SmartScreen Smart TVs.
