The upcoming Motorola Nio is in the news for a while now, all thanks to certification listings and leaks. This device is expected to launch as Motorola Edge S in China and a Moto G series device globally. Ahead of its official announcement, the handset has now cleared WiFi certification.

The Motorola Nio’s (XT2125) listing on WiFi Alliance does not reveal anything new. But its certification confirms that the device may launch soon. Because the company has already started teasing this phone in China.

As far as specs are concerned, this upcoming Motorola-branded smartphone from Lenovo is reported to be powered by an unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series SoC, which could be an underclocked Snapdragon 865, going by the Geekbench listing.

Further, the handset is expected to sport an FHD+ (1080 x 2520 pixels) display with an unusual 105Hz refresh rate and dual punch-hole cutout (separate) for selfie cameras. Talking about the cameras, it will feature a 64MP (primary) + 16MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (depth) triple rear camera setup and a a 16MP (primary + 8MP (ultra-wide) dual front camera setup.

Other expected features are Android 11, 8GB/12GB RAM, and 256GB inernal storage. That said, Motorola is yet to officially announce the launch date for this phone.
