Huawei Technologies, the Chinese giant which has been sanctioned by the United States, is still launching new devices and has a few more planned for the future. Now, we know that the company is working on a new smartwatch lineup.

As per the latest information, the company has applied to trademark “NOVA Watch” last week, which as the name indicates, is for the smartwatch series we expect the company to launch in the near future.

Huawei Watch Nova Trademark

Do note that the Nova lineup isn’t new for the company as it has already launched several smartphones under it but it’s certainly new for the Chinese giant to launch smartwatches under this Nova branding.

It is being reported that the Huawei Nova Watch series will be focusing on fashion as its main selling point and will be targeted towards youngsters. Some indicate that the reason behind the new Nova smartwatch lineup could be the independence of its sub-brand Honor, stripping Huawei off of several devices from its portfolio.
