HMD Global has been releasing mediocre Nokia-branded Android smartphones for quite a while now. It could be one of the reasons why their market share has dropped by a high margin. But the company is persistent in releasing new products, which can be considered positive. That said, a few days back, a report revealed that the firm will be releasing more 5G handsets in 2021. One of those devices has been now spotted on Geekbench.

A Nokia smartphone codenamed ‘HMD Global Quicksilver’ has been benchmarked on Geekbench. According to the listing, this phone will run Android 11 and will be powered by the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G SoC paired with 6GB RAM.

Unfortunately, nothing else is known about this handset as we are hearing about it for the first time. Apart from the above-mentioned specs, all we can say right now is that this device can score around 468 points and 1457 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

That said, the marketing name of this phone is a mystery. But we think it could be the recently leaked Nokia 6.3/6.4/6.5. Anyway, whatever it may be, we expect to learn more about this smartphone before its official announcement in the coming days.

So far, we only have two Snapdragon 480 devices in the form of vivo Y31s and OPPO A93 5G. Hence, this Nokia handset has a chance of becoming the third product with this new budget 5G chipset from Qualcomm.
