The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has certified an OPPO device that has a model number OB19B1. This model number belongs to the OPPO Band which went official in China in mid-2020. This BIS certification is a good hint that the device could be arriving soon in India.

Last week, the OPPO Band was spotted at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and now it has been spotted at India’s BIS body. It appears that the Chinese brand could be working on bringing the OPPO Band to wider markets in the coming weeks.

When OPPO announced the OPPO Band in June 2020 in China, it also announced its other variants such as OPPO Band Fashion and OPPO Band EVA Limited Edition. These fitness trackers have almost identical specs. The OPPO Band comes with a sporty strap, whereas the Fashion Edition has a fashionable strap along with NFC connectivity support. The OPPO Band EVA is a limited edition variant with a Neon Genesis Evangelion anime-themed strap.
