A few years ago, Meizu had launched its first hybrid smartwatch but after that, the company hasn’t released anything else in that category. But it seems like that is about to change pretty soon.
A patent application filed by Meizu for a smartwatch has surfaced online with publication number CN306296501S which was filed by the company a few months ago. The abstract shows that the device intends to display time, run programs, and enable users to use communication tools.
The purpose of the patent application is said to be the combination of the shapes and color of the device. While the patent doesn’t reveal much about the smartwatch’s specs and features, it does gives a look at its design.
Recently, a Meizu Smartwatch carrying model number M007W was spotted on Compulsory Certification of China a.k.a. 3C Certificate, which is expected to go official at the Meizu Watch and supports 7.5W charging.
We expect the smartwatch to come with an AMOLED display, heart rate tracking, SpO2 level measurement, and support for tracking various sports. The device is also said to have LTE connectivity support, confirming that it will either have a SIM card slot or support for eSIM. In the software department, it is expected to be running the “Flyme For Watch”, which is a special version of its Flyme OS.
As of now, there’s no information available about the launch of this Meizu Watch. However, we expect the wearable device to soon get launched, in the coming weeks or months
