Samsung has been living up to the promise of updating older devices with the latest One UI 3.0. The company has been rolling out the OTA left right and center to Galaxy M, A, S, Note series of devices. Recently, the Galaxy F41 and M21 also got the One UI Core 3.0 update. Today, yet another A-series devices gets the One UI 3.0, this time it’s the Galaxy A51.
According to a Sammobile report, Samsung Galaxy A51 is receiving an update with firmware version A515FXXU4DUB1 in Russia. This update bundles the One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 and the latest security patch. To recall, the Galaxy A51 was originally scheduled to get it only by March 2021.
As mentioned above, Samsung has jumped the gun and brought the update quicker which also has the February 2021 security patch. As for the Android 11 features, you can witness new chat bubbles(conversations), media controls, improved permission management, and organized notifications.
Although Samsung’s latest UI is One UI 3.1, the One UI 3.0 brings quite a bit of upgrade over the predecessor, One UI 2.5. Some of them are improvements to UI and icons, Dark Mode, Digital Wellbeing & parental controls, and more AOD clock styles, etc.
Samsung so far has updated models like the Galaxy S20, Note 20, Note 10, S10 series, and budget devices like the Galaxy M31, M21, F41, and more. The list will only get bigger. Speaking of which, the horizon of Galaxy A51 will widen in the coming days so don’t panic if your unit hasn’t got it yet.
