OPPO is one of the many popular Chinese smartphone makers. The company is mostly known for its upper mid-range and premium handsets that are targeted at offline channels with heavy advertising. It is expected to announce its next-gen flagship models in the form of the OPPO Find X3 series in March. In addition to that, the firm may also launch another device, which has cleared two necessary certifications.

OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G

Earlier this month, Indian tech influencer Mukul Sharma revealed that a new OPPO smartphone with model number CPH2219 had been certified by Indonesia’s TKDN regulatory. Now, almost two weeks later, the same phone has been also certified by China Quality Certification Center (CQC) with 33W fast charging.

Based on these two certifications, we can expect OPPO CPH2219 to launch in Indonesia and China. The handset could be available in other regions as well but we cannot tell that for sure as of now. Above all, the device’s official branding is still a mystery. However, we may learn it soon once this phone gets certified by either FCC or NBTC.

That said, the most interesting thing about this smartphone is that it will support 33W fast charging. For those unaware, there’s not a single smartphone from the Oujia group (OPPO, OnePlus, realme) with this charging speed.

However, it is worth noting that a 33W OnePlus charger had already been certified by TÜV Rheinland in December 2020. Hence, though the upcoming OPPO CPH2219 could be the first 33W fast charging smartphone from the company, it may not be the first from the group as OnePlus also has a chance of announcing a phone with the same tech.
