A new iQOO labeled as “iQOO I2012” has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The identity of this phone is not known yet. The presence of the letter “I” in its label suggests that it could be an Indian variant of the mysterious iQOO phone. Since it is powered by the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform, it seems that it could be the upcoming iQOO Neo5 smartphone.

The iQOO 3 smartphone which debuted in February last year is the only iQOO that has ever launched in India. The model number of the device is I1928. This suggests that the newly spotted iQOO I2012 could be an Indian variant of a new iQOO phone.

The iQOO I2012 smartphone has appeared multiple times on the Geekbench 5 benchmarking platform. One of the listings shows that it has scored 951 in the single-core and 3339 in the multi-core test. All the listing shows that the phone is powered by a Qualcomm chip that is mentioned as ‘kona.’ The source code mentions that the chip clocks at 3.19GHz, which is a clear hint that it is powered by the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform.

All the listings show that the device has 8 GB of RAM and it runs on Android 11 OS. This device could be the Snapdragon 870 SoC-powered iQOO Neo5 that is expected to launch in China in March.

Recent reports have revealed that iQOO is gearing to launch around two or three phones in India. It is speculated that one of them is a Snapdragon 888 SoC-powered iQOO 7 flagship. Now that the alleged Indian variant of the iQOO Neo5 has been spotted at Geekbench, it may go official soon in the country. So far, reports have revealed that Neo5 will be arriving in China with specs like a 120Hz AMOLED display with punch-hole design, SD870 chip,  8 GB of RAM, 128 GB storage, a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, a triple camera system featuring a Sony IMX598 48-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel superwide lens, and a 2-megapixel lens.
