Xiaomi India has officially launched a new 6GB + 128GB variant of Redmi 9 Power in the country. The new version of the smartphone is priced at ₹12,999 ($180). It is available for purchase starting February 22 (today) from Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes, and Mi Studios. The latest variant of the device will be also sold by partner retailers across the country in the coming days.

Redmi 9 Power Fiery Red

The Redmi 9 Power available in India is basically the Redmi Note 9 4G, which was first unveiled in China. This handset is also known as Redmi 9T in other markets.

The smartphone flaunts a 6.53-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a dewdrop notch, 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 400 nits typical brightness, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and TÜV Rheinland-certified Reading mode. The device features a plastic build and comes in four colors, namely Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Electric Green, and Fiery Red.

It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB (UFS 2.1)/128GB (UFS 2.2) internal storage. On the connectivity front, the handset supports dual-SIM, 4G, VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, VoWiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou).

For optics, it houses a quad-camera setup on the rear consisting of a 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide unit (120˚ FOV), a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it sports an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Other features of this phone include a dedicated MicroSD card slot (up to 512GB), side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers, USB Type-C port, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass, MIUI 12 based on Android 10, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and reverse charging.

Last but not least, the Redmi 9 Power measures 162.3 x 77.3 x 9.6mm in dimensions, weighs 198g, and ships with a 22.5W fast charger, USB Type-A to Type-C cable, as well as a protective case.
