Realme recently announced that the Realme GT will go official on March 4. The starting price of the smartphone was also earlier today revealed by Realme’s VP to start at less than 2999 yuan (~$465). This potentially makes the device a flagship killer. The Realme GT has now been shown to reach over 1 million units in reservations. 
Although reservations don’t often translate to sales, that may not apply in this case. The GT 5G is positioned to be a hot-selling model. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS3.1 flash storage.
The Realme GT 5G will also feature an AMOLED screen that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz as well as 3D tempered liquid cooling system, stereo speakers, linear motors, and other impressive features.
Realme CMO Xu Qi had earlier disclosed that the Realme GT 5G will not come in a 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage version. Thus, we expect the base variant to be an 8GB of RAM model with 128 GB of storage.
For now, we don’t have an idea of the size of the battery but the 3C certification for the GT 5G shows that it will come with 65W fast charging support. That should refuel the battery in record time if it runs flat. Yet another interesting feature is the in-screen fingerprint reader and the device also retains the 3.5mm audio jack.
