Now, a new report has surfaced online which indicates that at least one iPad model getting launched next year, i.e. in 2022, will be featuring an OLED panel. This is in line with the previous reports which suggest the Mini-LED will be a stepping stone for the OLED panels.

Earlier, an analyst from Barclays had claimed that Apple has no plans to launch iPad with OLED panel in 2021 but the company is expected to offer it in 2022. It is also speculated that along with the iPad in 2022, the MacBook devices could also adopt OLED panels.

Currently, no more information is available regarding this development. There is also a possibility that the usage of OLED panels on Apple’s devices could be pushed back. It will be interesting to see how Apple decides to price its products with OLED displays given that the panels costlier compared to LCD and LED.
