Earlier today, OnePlus confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus 9 series on March 23. The launch event is said to happen at 10 AM ET. However, before the launch, the company has already confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series will come with a charger inside the box.

OnePlus Founder and CEO, Pete Lau, has revealed this information via a comment on the OnePlus community forums. Last week, Pete posted a teaser hinting at the OnePlus 9 series launch and the partnership with camera giant Hasselblad. In that post, a user had commented, “New phones launch WITHOUT CHARGERS”.

To this, Pete has replied, “Don’t worry about it. We have the charger inside the box.” This info falls in line with earlier leaks and unless there’s any new tech, the devices should ship with a 65W Warp charger inside the box.

Anyway, with this, he confirms that the Chinese smartphone maker won’t join the bandwagon of companies skipping in-box chargers. The trend of not including a charger was started by Apple and now giants like Samsung, Xiaomi have started to adopt it.

Just like the Vivo, OPPO, realme, the OnePlus devices come with a trademarked “Warp charging” and they are proprietary solutions for fast charging on OnePlus smartphones. This could also be another reason for OnePlus sticking to include them on the OnePlus 9 series.

Speaking of which, the launch event on March 23 will showcase four products including the OnePlus 9 series:

Out of this, the Hasselblad partnership for the “Natural Color Calibration” will help OnePlus ship the devices with a new color solution. Accordingly, the ‘Pro’ variant is expected to feature a Quad-camera setup with custom Sony IMX789 Sensor(could be 48MP), panoramic Camera with a 140° FOV,
