iQOO will be announcing the iQOO Z3 5G smartphone in China on Thursday. Today, the company took to Weibo to reveal the processor and storage type of the smartphone. At the same time, its official renders have also appeared in its retailer listings like JD, Tmall, and Suning in China.

The iQOO Z3 5G renders show that the smartphone features a waterdrop notch display on the front and a vertical triple camera system on the back. A fingerprint scanner can be seen on the right side of the smartphone. The front design of the phone is a downgrade over the predecessor iQOO Z1, which featured a punch-hole display.

iQOO confirmed that the Z3 will be driven by the Snapdragon 768G mobile platform, which will be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The Chinese manufacturer is yet to reveal the other specs of the Z3.

Previous reports claimed that the iQOO Z3 supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 48-megapixel triple camera system. However, a new leak by Digital Chat Station reveals that the phone supports a 120Hz refresh rate and it has a 64-megapixel triple camera setup. The Geekbench and Google Play Console listings of the phone revealed that it will come loaded with Android 11 OS.

The iQOO Z3’s battery size is not known yet. The 3C listing of the smartphone revealed that the smartphone may arrive with support for 55W fast charging. It is speculated that the device could be priced at 1,799 Yuan (~$276) in China.
