Back in CES 2020, Intel had unveiled its first discrete graphics card dubbed the DG1, which was officially called the Iris Xe Max. This GPU was unveiled to break to duopoly of NVIDIA and AMD in the market, with the Chuwi CoreBook Xe being the first laptop to feature the company’s new graphics card.

The Chuwi CoreBook Xe will feature the Iris Xe Max discrete GPU and is set to launch across the globe sometime in April 2021, with an expected price tag of around 599 US Dollars. For those unaware, the DG1 is a part of Team Blue’s new XE architecture, which is built on the 10nm process. It features 96 EU (execution units), along with 768 core stream processors, with clock frequency of 1.65GHz, and 4GB of VRAM.

The DG1 also supports Intel’s Deeplink technology, which also improves video encoding performance for productivity, while the GPU is also capable enough to run AAA level games like Destiny 2 as its performance was close to that of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti MAX-Q. Talking about the laptop, the Chuwi CoreBook Xe is targeted towards professionals and is positioned as a business notebook.
