Korean tech giant Samsung has launched a new smart washing machine in India. The product integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and gives users the leverage to switch the language of the user interface between Hindi and English. Samsung reputes the washing machine as the first to launch in India with this feature.
The Samsung Smart Washing Machine is equipped with the brand’s proprietary EcoBubble and QuickDrive technology designed to facilitate the operation time and conserve power. The technology also provides 45% extra fabric care.
Further, the washing machine also features Hygiene Steam technology which can remove ingrained dirt. It can also kill 99.9% of bacteria and allergens.
The new smart washing machine series includes 21 models and they are all equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features that offer a customized laundry process. How this works is that the machine will learn with time and subsequently remember the usage habits of the homeowner. The machine also suggests the most frequently used wash cycle when it is turned on in order to speed up the setup.
Samsung AI-enabled Smart Inverter Washing Machine integrates WiFi connectivity which makes it a smart Internet of Things (IoT) device. Thus, it can be connected with Samsung smart devices such as Galaxy phones, smart TVs, and the Family Hub refrigerators. It also supports Alexa and Google Home voice control.
In terms of the design, the new washing machine line-up adopts a minimalist design that is different from previous models. It utilizes a user-friendly sleek digital interface that has a simple jog dial control. It also comes equipped with a Digital Inverter Technology that not only consumes lesser energy but also produces low operational noise.
As for the price, the new AI-enabled washing machine lineup starts at Rs. 35,400 (~$476). The smart device went on sale starting April 6 via Amazon.in, Flipkart, Samsung Shop the brand’s official store.
