Back in November 2020, Samsung launched new Lifestyle Smart Monitors M5 and M7 in the US, Canada, and China. Now, the South Korean giant is bringing it to the Indian market.
Samsung Smart Monitors M5, M7- India Pricing, Availability
In a press release, Samsung said that Smart Monitors will come in two models- M5 and M7. You can look at the official India pricing below:
- M5(27-inch)- ₹28,000
- M5(32-inch)- ₹33,000
- M7(32-inch)- ₹57,000
However, Samsung says that for a limited time, the smart monitors will retail for lower prices in India. Accordingly, the M5 27-inch will sell for ₹21,999 while the 32-inch model will be available for ₹24,999. Similarly, users can get the sole M7 32-inch model for an introductory price of ₹36,999.
As usual, the monitors will be available for purchase on Samsung’s official website, Amazon India, and other retail partners in the country from April 9 i.e., Today.
Samsung Smart Monitors M5, M7 Features
Samsung‘s New Smart Monitors offer work-from-home features like Tap View connectivity, App casting/Apple AirPlay2, and Samsung DeX. Additionally, the monitors also support home office features like Microsoft Office PC applications, Remote access.
It also has entertainment features like Smart Hub(PVOD), Samsung TV Plus, Mobile casting/mirroring, Bixby 2.0 integration, and more. Further, all the models that run Samsung’s Tizen OS 5.5, have a speaker of 10W(5Wx2).
*PVOD is video-on-demand and allows users to stream content on OTT apps like Netflix, YouTube without accessing PC/Mobile.
Samsung Smart Monitors M5, M7 Specifications
The Samsung M5 models come in two sizes- M5(27-inch), and M5(32-inch). Both of them feature a 1,920×1,080(FHD) VA(Vertical Alignment) panel. Weighing in at 5.0kg(27-inch), and 6.2kg(32-inch) the monitors measure 615.5×455.4×193.5mm, and 716.1x517x193.5mm(with stand) respectively.
The sole 32-inch Samsung M7 model, on the other hand, supports resolution up to 4K(3840×2160 pixels). It measures 716.1×517.0x193.5 mm(with stand) and weighs 6.5kg.
Both the monitors have a display panel that supports 16.7M colors, 60Hz refresh rate, HDR10, 178° viewing angles, 16:9 aspect ratio, 250 nits brightness, Intelligent eye care, Eye save mode, and 3000:1 static contrast ratio.
For connectivity, we have 2xHDMI 2.0, 2xUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, and Bixby 2.0 on the M5 models. However, for the M7, there is a USB-C port with charging of up to 65W, and an extra USB-2.0 while the rest of the I/O is the same as the M5.
