Transsion Holdings subsidiary Tecno unveiled the Spark 7 earlier this month in India to signal the entrance of the latest iteration in the budget Spark series. The Chinese company has now unveiled the Spark 7P with a pretty impressive spec array and cool design.
Starting with the display, the Tecno Spark 7P packs a 6.8-inch display that pans out at a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and HD+ resolution of 1640 x 720 pixels. The display features a waterdrop notch design with the notch housing an 8MP selfie camera.
The Spark 7P is powered by the MediaTek Helio G70 processor, a 12nm octa-core SoC comprised of two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2GHz each and six Cortex-A55 CPUs clocked at 1.7GHz each. The processor also pairs with a Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. The device comes in a sole 4GB RAM memory but is available in 64GB and 128GB storage options both of which can be expanded via microSD slot.
In terms of photography, the smartphone packs a triple camera setup at the rear made up of a 16MP main AI camera. The other sensors include a portrait camera and an AI camera. There is also a Quad-LED flash at the back. The rear aspect also houses a fingerprint sensor which unlocks the device swiftly.
The Spark 7P runs Android 11-based HiOS 7.5 and packs a generous 5000mAh battery. The phone is available in Alps Blue, Spruce Green, Magnet Black, and Summer Mojito colors. The pricing and availability details are yet to be unveiled.
