Update: The info below is not a leak but from Realme’s website and the FCC. The story has thus been edited.

The Realme Watch is getting a successor and it will arrive as the Realme Watch 2. Ahead of its release, images, specs, and features of the watch have surfaced.

Realme Watch 2

Realme is sticking to a square dial as on the first-generation and the press render shows that it has a classic strap with the manufacturer’s tagline printed on the short arm. We are not sure if Realme will release a version with a fashion strap.

The Realme Watch 2 (RMW2008) will have a 1.4-inch TFT color display with a 320 x 320 resolution. The battery capacity is almost double now from 160mAh in the first-gen model to 305mAh and the battery life is now put at 12 days. The spec sheet says that the watch has an IP68 rating, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and measures 257.6 x 35.7 x 12.2 millimeters. It also works with devices running Android 5.0 and above.

According to the user manual, the Realme Watch 2 has 24-hour heart rate monitoring and a blood-oxygen level monitor. It also has sleep tracking, a meditation mode, support for app alerts, and music playback control.

Apart from the increased battery capacity, another big upgrade of the Realme Watch 2 is its supported sports modes. Compared to its predecessor which supports 14 workout modes, the Realme Watch 2 will support 90 sports modes that include new entries such as dancing, fishing, and bowling. It is important to note that all of these modes won’t be available out of the box but will be added via an OTA upgrade.

There is no news yet of when the smartwatch will be announced but a launch date should not be far off.
