Garmin today announced the release of its latest fitness smartwatches, the Garmin Venu 2  and Venu 2S. Both smartwatches are GPS-enabled and feature up to 25 sports tracking modes, advanced sleep tracking, and several other impressive features to give users round-the-clock health and fitness monitoring. A Garmin executive, Dan Bartel, the vice president of global consumer sales, reflected that both products were the outcome of Garmin’s policy of enhancing healthy and better living through smart wearables. Bartel also said that the Venu 2 series provide exciting new tools to determine various aspects of health fitness and tools to enhance overall fitness every day. 

The Garmin Venu 2 is a 45mm smartwatch with a 22mm band, while the Garmin Venu 2S is a 40mm smartwatch with an 18mm band. Both models cost $400. Both smartwatches also feature a stainless steel bezel, an AMOLED touchscreen display covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The range of sensors available in both devices enables the user to track many health and fitness parameters like the heart rate, hydration level, stress, fitness age, and a few specialized parameters relating to female health.

With over 25 activity tracking modes, a user can customize his fitness regimen to include running, walking, cycling, swimming, and several other varied sports and activities. Garmin Venu 2

The Venu 2 can last up to 11 days on a full charge when in smartwatch mode and about 8 hours in GPS mode, while the Venu 2S can last up to 10 days in smartwatch mode and about 7 hours in GPS mode. Both models provide ultra-fast charging capability.
