Change log:

  • Added the Gaming activity
  • Connect IQ bug fixes and improvements
  • Restores missing Tennis or Pickleball activities
  • Change to help preserve battery life throughout the lifespan of the product.

Gaming Activity

The Gaming activity (health) feature lets you connect your device to your PC, and it will keep an eye on your biometrics, like your stress levels and heart rate. The Gaming Activity will put up a personalized display on your PC screen. This display will show how stressed you are and your heart rate. The idea is to help you play games better by telling you when to play hard and when to take it easy.

Connect IQ bug fixes and improvements

With this update, Garmin has fixed numerous bugs regarding the Connect IQ store, an all-in-one source for personalizing your Garmin devices with free downloadable apps, widgets, watch faces, and music streaming services.

Restore Tennis or Pickleball Activities

For those unaware, Tennis and Pickleball are pre-installed activities on your smartwatch. They were not visible to some users. With this update, Garmin has tried to fix this issue, and hopefully, the users will now be able to see these activities.

Change to help preserve battery life throughout the lifespan of the product

This update is focused on preserving the long-term health of your battery. In simpler terms, it means your battery should age more slowly, ensuring it can offer good performance even after extended use over time.

One thing to note is that your device will automatically check for the update once every 24 hours. If it is available, the watch will prompt you about the update. It may take several hours for the update to finish transferring and be available on your watch to install. Additionally, you can go to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update to download it manually.
