The various US sanctions have already made it difficult for the company to acquire crucial components for its smartphones, and it seems that the chip shortage in China has further led it to abandon its low end models entirely.

According to a MyDrivers report, the Chinese tech giant’s official stores in China have been facing this issue. The report adds that employees working in these stores have revealed that the company is selling fewer handsets now, although, this is mainly attributed to the fact that the country is facing a shortage of smartphone chips.
