Recent reports have revealed a lot about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to claim that the Mi Pad 5 will debut later this month.

The Mi Pad 5 series is speculated to include at least three devices. These tablets are reportedly codenamed Nabu (model number ending with K82), Enuma (model number ending with K81), and Elish (model number ending with K81A). The Elish model is said to be a variant of the Enuma model, whereas the Nabu is said to be a different device.

The Enuma and Elish models are expected to feature the sm8250 chipset by Qualcomm. Hence, these tablets are likely to feature Snapdragon 865, SD865+, or the SD870 chip. The Nabu edition may come with an sm8150 chip, which indicates that it may feature SD855, SD855+, or SD860.

The Mi Pad 5 trio is expected to feature an IPS LCD screen that offers a 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:10. The screen size of these tablets could be around 10 to 11 inches. The Nabu model is expected to house a battery of around 8,720mAh capacity. Probably, this model could end up as the vanilla Mi Pad 5.

The Mi Pad 5 series is also speculated to arrive with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate and it will run on a slightly modified version of MIUI. As can be seen in the above-shown fan-made render of the Mi Pad 5, it is expected to arrive with a triple camera system. For security, it may feature a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It is unclear whether the Mi Pad 5 series will arrive with stylus support. With flagship specs onboard, the Mi Pad 5 series is expected to rival top-tier tablets from other brands like the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 series and the new iPads.
