Earlier this year, Nubia unleashed the Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro smartphones. Recent reports have revealed that the company is gearing up to launch a new and affordable gaming phone called the Red Magic 6R. The handset was recently seen at the TENAA certification site with the NX666J model number. Fresh information reveals that it has also received certification from the 3C regulatory body of China.

The Red Magic 6R’s 3C appearance reveals that its retail box may include a 55W rapid charger. Also, the listing confirms that it is a 5G-ready device. In comparison, the Red Magic 6 supports 66W fast charging, whereas the Red Magic 6 Pro comes with a faster 120W charger.

Red Magic 6R specifications (Rumored)

The TENAA appearance of the RedMagic 6R revealed that it will be sporting a 6.67-inch OLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution. The device is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform.

The phone may hit the Chinese markets in multiple RAM options like 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB. In terms of storage, it may offer users options like 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB.

The handset will draw power from a 4,100mAh rated battery. It has a 16-megapixel camera for capturing selfies and its rear camera setup is headlined by a 64-megapixel lens. The device measures 163.03 x 75.34 x 8.20mm and weighs 186.4 grams.

Nubia is currently silent on the existence of the RedMagic 6R. Currently, it seems to be focused on the Nubia Z30 flagship, which is set to launch on May 20. Probably, the Red Magic 6R will break cover by the end of this month.
