Following the launch of the Zenfone 8 series last week, ASUS has begun rolling out an update to the two devices. This means when you get your hands on a unit, you should have an update or probably event two waiting for you.
As reported by XDA-Developers, ASUS had pushed out one update to the Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip shortly before it launched. That update arrived as version WW 30.10.46.64 for the Zenfone 8 and version WW 30.10.39.62 for the Zenfone 8 Flip. Now, another update is rolling out and it comes as version WW 30.11.51.41 for the former and WW 30.11.55.37 for the latter.
This new update brings priority mode, a feature that allows select contacts who call multiple times within a short interval to bypass a phone’s mute mode. It also adds the ability to search for an app under the Force Dark Mode feature. Below is the full changelog:
- Improved system stability
- Improved system performance
- Improved camera quality
- Added priority mode in ASUS Settings
- Added search function in Force Dark Mode
- Enabled VoLTE on Telia (Lithuania)
- Enabled VoLTE & VoWoFi on ICE (Norway)
- Updated Android security patch (April 2021)
It has become the norm for manufacturers to push out updates immediately after a device is launched. These updates usually fix bugs that may have been missed and optimize important features for a better user experience.
