Last week, ZTE-backed Nubia announced the Red Magic 6 Pro Deuterium Transparent Edition in its home country China and now the company has confirmed that the device will be up for pre-order from 1st June for a starting price of 5,099 yuan.

The Red Magic 6 Pro Deuterium Transparent Edition, as the name itself indicates, comes with a transparent glass back panel. The cooling fan on the left side has an RGB lighting effect and the design for the cooling ice blade air duct is also visible.

It’s noteworthy that the back panel of the smartphone is not fully transparent but some of the components are visible, making it an interesting device visually. It is a bit different from the Red Magic 5G Transparent Edition which had more elements visible.

The gaming smartphone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED full-screen display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 2400×1080 pixels screen resolution. It also has a 500Hz single finger touch sampling and 300Hz multi-finger touch sampling rates with a latency of just 8ms.

It offers 10-bit color support, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, SGS certification for low smear and blue-light. The display offers a 91.28% screen-body ratio, 1000000:1 contrast ratio,, and comes with a sixth-generation in-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. For gaming, the devices have two shoulder IC-touch buttons on the right that have up to 400Hz touch response rate.

It comes with an ICE 6.0 multi-dimensional cooling system which includes 13 AI Temperature sensors, superconducting copper-foil, cooling Canyon Air Duct, Thermal Gel, Graphene, VC heat sink, and has an extra Aviation-grade cooling Ice plate.

There’s a high-speed centrifugal fan inside for venting the hot air out and the fan has a maximum of 20,000 RPM. As for the cameras, there a triple-camera setup with a 64MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro sensor. Upfront, there’s an 8MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The device runs the Android 11 operating system with RedMagic OS 4.0 on top and is powered by a 5,050mAh battery and comes with support for 120W fast-changing. Nubia is also offering a GaN charger in the box.
