Reports have revealed that instead of the launching of a new Galaxy Note series, Samsung will be announcing three flagship devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold3 foldable phone, Galaxy Z Flip3 clamshell with a foldable screen, and Galaxy S21 FE. While the moniker of the Galaxy S21 FE suggests that it is a successor for the Galaxy S20 FE from last year, reputed tipster Evan Blass has claimed that it will be a “follow-up to the last year’s Note” series.

The Galaxy S21 series went official at the beginning of this year with several upgrades, and it was priced lower than the Galaxy S20 lineup in many markets. Blass claimed that the Galaxy S21 series has met disappointing first-half sales, which makes Samsung’s second-half flagship even more critical. While there is no official confirmation yet, Blass further revealed that the S21 series have not achieved the same success as the Galaxy S10 lineup did.

Since the Galaxy S21 FE is now speculated to arrive as a follow-up for the Note 20 line, there is a possibility that it may carry support for an S Pen like the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which was first non-Note series phone with stylus support. The Galaxy S21 FE moniker had appeared on Samsung Mexico’s website in April, but there is on official confirmation on its moniker yet. If the handset is going to arrive with stylus support, it may carry a Note branding.
