Chinese phone maker vivo is tipped to launch a smartphone called vivo Y73 in India this month. The device’s entire specs were leaked a couple of days back. Now, the company officially teases the arrival of this handset in the country.

Earlier today, Nipun Marya, the Director of vivo India, tweeted an image of a model holding a smartphone. The tweet asks the public to guess the celebrity in the picture. Above all, it reveals the name of the phone, which is vivo Y73. Unfortunately, the tweet does not mention the launch date.

According to the leaked specifications, this upcoming vivo handset will flaunt a 6.44-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 408 PPI, HDR 10 certification, dewdrop notch, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.37% screen-to-body ratio, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM (+3GB optional extended virtual RAM) and 128GB internal storage.

The device will run Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11. It will sport a 64MP + 2MP (depth) + 2MP (macro) triple camera setup on the back and a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

On the connectivity front, the vivo Y73 will support 4G, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0. It will also come with all the essential features of a budget smartphone, like a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated MicroSD card slot (up to 1TB), and a USB Type-C port.

The smartphone will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Last but not least, it will measure 161.24 x 74.37 x 7.38mm in dimensions and weigh 170g.

The vivo Y73 is expected to launch for ₹20,990 ($287) at an unspecified date later this month.
