Korean tech giant Samsung will unveil a new, possibly mid-range ISOCELL sensor on June 10, according to a tweet by the ISOCELL Division. The camera sensor is tagged: ISOCELL for Everyone and is believed to be lower in the pecking order of more powerful sensors like the ISOCELL HM3, or GN2 present in some high-end Samsung Galaxy smartphones and other brands as well.
The tweet says customers deserve a fantastic camera, and enthusiasts should stay tuned for June 10, 2021, for the launch of the new sensor. Although little is known about the new ISOCELL mid-range sensor, it will likely offer some improvements over the current 48MP unit present in Samsung’s current mid-range and entry-level smartphones. It could be a marginally improved 50MP sensor that could replace the current 48MP version. Earlier this year, there were reports that Samsung will unveil the ISOCELL GN1s and GN3 in H2 2021. One of these two or both could be the expected sensors.
Samsung’s ISOCELL division produces sensors both for Samsung devices and for other smartphone manufacturers. The ISOCELL division offers various sensors for different cameras, from the premium and high-end sensors to the mid-range segment.

Much of the buzz around the sensor remains informed speculations at this time. However, as would be expected, more information on the new ISOCELL sensor will be available on June 10.
