Xiaomi unveiled the Flipbuds Pro true wireless earbuds in China in mid-May as its latest premium earbuds. The wireless earbuds received the first firmware update barely two weeks after the launch. Xiaomi has now pushed yet another firmware upgrade to the buds. Xiaomi Flipbuds Pro Review 03

The new update was announced by Xiaomi Group VP Chang Cheng. The update comes with firmware number 7.6.1.13. The changelog shows the update delivers further enhancement to the wear detection feature, prompt sound effects, as well as enhanced Bluetooth connection power consumption.

The first firmware update delivered an enhanced wear detection experience, an upgraded notification sound as well as optimized notification sound effects.

The Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro has as its main feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The company claims the noise cancellation can filter up to 40dB of noise at its peak level.  The earbuds support three ANC modes with varying levels of noise canceling.

In terms of the processor, the FlipBuds Pro packs Qualcomm’s QCC5151 ultra-low power audio chip. It equally utilizes 11mm ultra dynamic sound drivers. You also get support for Bluetooth 5.2, aptX Adaptive dynamic codec protocol. The earbud is ideal for gaming as it has a low latency level.Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro

Talking of the battery durability, the FlipBuds Pro can last up to 5 hours of playback when the noise cancellation is enabled and it can go up to 7 hours with NC disabled. The carrying case can extend the battery life up to 28 hours (without ANC) and 22 hours when ANC is turned on.
