Are you gaming-addicted and you would like to have a gaming-centric design? Then you should go for the Nubia Red Magic 6. But if you want a device that looks like a normal phone and features an elegant design, you should opt for the Nubia Red Magic 6R. Despite it is a great phone for gaming, the Nubia Red Magic 6R has an elegant back cover and a punch-hole display. But it still features pressure-sensitive zones with a 400 Hz touch sampling rate. So it still provides gaming-centric features, no matter if the design is different from a gaming-centric phone. With the Nubia Red Magic 6 you get pressure sensitive zones too, as well as a design with thicker bezels that might be more ergonomic. Note that Nubia Red Magic 6R has a plastic back and an aluminum frame, while Nubia Red Magic 6 is a glass sandwich with an aluminum frame.

 

Display

Nubia Red Magic 6 and 6R are equipped with amazing displays, especially for gamers. The Nubia Red Magic 6R has a 4200 mAh battery, but it is a lot thinner and lighter than the vanilla version. The Chinese version of the 6R supports 55W fast charging, while the Global version has just 30W.

 

Price

The Nubia Red Magic 6 has a starting price of €600/$725 in the global market, while Nubia Red Magic 6R carries a starting price tag of €500/$605. Given that there is just a €100 difference, we recommend the Nubia Red Magic 6 due to its bigger battery and faster charging (it also comes with a built-in cooling fan and a higher refresh rate), unless you prefer having a more sober design.
