Chinese electronics manufacturer Anker has launched a wireless charger specially designed for the Apple Watch series. The wireless charger adopts an in-line design and a Type-C interface and is very portable. Like the OEM Apple Watch charger, the Anker wireless charger has a magnetic function for easy fixation. The cable-free design is convenient for storage, as well as for use on the road or outdoors.
Anker’s Apple Watch In-line wireless charger has gotten Apple’s MFi certification which ensures it is compatible with the intended product and the charging rating is on par with the original Apple Watch charger. For the avoidance of doubt, the wireless charger is compatible with all six generations of the Apple Watch series from the Watch Series 1 to the Watch Series 6.
The Apple Watch In-line Wireless Charger from Anker is said to deliver up to 2.5W charging and can fully charge the Apple Watch in about 1.5 hours. The Type-C interface can be connected to an iPad Pro tablet or a power bank.
The product is light in weight, weighing in at just 23g. As stated earlier, it is suitable for charging all present Apple Watch models. It carries a decent price tag of 199 yuan (~$31) and is presently listed on Jingdong (JD.com) in China. The product is expected to go on sale on July 16.
Recall that Anker recently launched the Life P3 Earbuds that is compatible with Apple’s Siri voice assistant. The earbuds also bring several top-notch features and are presently on sale in the UK. We may also see this new product launched for the global market soon.
