Lava and Benco Mobile have teamed up to launch the Benco V80 smartphone in Thailand. The handset offers users a tall aspect ratio display, up to 64 GB storage, and a large-sized battery.

The Lava Benco V80 measures 165.6 x 76.7 x 9.45mm and weighs 195.7 grams. The device is equipped with a 6.517-inch IPS panel that supports HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Benco V80 promises a screen-to-body ratio of 89.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The teardrop notch houses an 8-megapixel AI front-facing camera setup.

The back panel of the phone features an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash. It offers photography features like portrait mode and AI scene recognition. The handset boots to Android 11 OS and offers users up to 64 GB of internal storage. For more storage, it has a microSD card slot.

The Unisoc SC9863 quad-core that clocks at 1.6GHz powers the Benco V80 with up to 4 GB of RAM. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. For security, it has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and face unlock support. The other features of the handset include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a microUSB.

Lava Benco V80 pricing and availability

The Benco V80 has landed in Thailand with a start pricing of 2,890 Baht (~$90). It comes in colors like Cyan Blue and Greenish Silver. At present, there is no word on the availability of the device.
