Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company BEEBEST is known for its array of walkie-talkies including the spectacular smart walkie-talkie that adopts a feature phone design launched in 2019. The Chinese brand has now launched the BEEBEST A308 Walkie-Talkie. The product is presently on sale for 349 yuan (~$54).
The BEEBEST A308 Walkie-Talkie adopts an ultra-thin and lightweight design which sets it apart from other traditional walkie-talkies. It weighs just 137g and has a 16mm thickness. The body is also designed to give the user a good grip.
Although the body is thin, the A308 has stronger penetrating power and can cover longer distances. The device can be used within an ambient temperature of -20℃ to 50℃ which makes it compatible for use under different environmental conditions. The two-way radio also comes with an IP54 waterproof and dustproof rating meaning it can be submerged in water of up to 1.8m depth.
The BEEBEST A308 uses the latest aluminum alloy heat dissipation technology, giving it a strong penetrating power. The operating distance can extend as far as within a 5 kilometers radius and as far as a 30-story office building. In an open environment, the walkie-talkie’s reception can extend up to 10 kilometers calls, and in a moving car, the reception range is 3 kilometers.
At the same time, it is equipped with a 2190mAh large-capacity battery, which can be used continuously for 13 hours. The battery can also provide up to 100 hours of standby time. The device also comes with a new air copy frequency function which allows the user to copy 100 channel frequencies to multiple walkie-talkies in the nearby receiving state at the same time, without needing to pair with devices individually, thus saving time.
