Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company XiaoYi, also known as Yi has launched its third-generation outdoor smart camera. The camera is dubbed Yi Smart Camera Pan-tilt version O10 and it is currently on sale on Jingdong (JD.com) for 259 yuan (~$40).
This model is a third-generation model in the lineup of YI’s outdoor smart camera. The camera uses a dual pan-tilt design which is of the same grade as industrial dome cameras. The camera supports both horizontal 360-degree rotation and vertical 134-degree rotation, so that it has a 360-degree panoramic view capability without dead angle.
The YI Smart camera Outdoor PTZ version O10 can record 1080P video, with a large F/1.4 aperture, and a large amount of light. In terms of night vision capabilities, it is also upgrade t capture vivid images. The O10 is said to come with the capability of capturing intelligent full-color night vision under adequalte lighting conditions. However, when the light is low and the ambient light is normal, the device will automatically change by default to black and white night vision. When detecting a picture change, O10 will automatically turn on 4 fill lights to display a color picture.
If a human figure is detected, an alarm message will be immediately pushed to the user’s mobile phone, and the target will be locked automatically following the shot. This time, it is equipped with a new generation of AI humanoid detection algorithm function, which can effectively reduce false alarms caused by grass shaking, flying insects, small animals walking, or light changes.
Taking into account the complex outdoor use scenarios, the camera has the rainstorm-level waterproof and dustproof capabilities that industrial dome cameras have. It can be used under extreme weather conditions such as wind, frost, rain, and snow.
In terms of other functions, the YI smart camera outdoor PTZ version O10 also supports practical functions such as two-way voice intercom, multi-person screen sharing, and two storage methods.
